HOW TO BOOK?
Fill in a contact form or give us a call. There is no automated booking process so we need to take bookings manually to avoid any miscommunications on room allocations etc. If you book, there will be a deposit (non-refundable) needed to secure the room with the balance paid by October 31st.
INSURANCE?
Make sure your travel insurance includes full coverage for all snowboard activities - including off-piste and park. While we offer coaching/guiding services only, we do not assume liability for your actions on the trip, whether on or off-piste. You must sign a waiver acknowledging this. Given the inherent risks of snowboarding, it's essential to have suitable insurance in place.
HOW MANY DAYS COACHING / GUIDING ARE INCLUDED?
To ensure that the week isn't too full-on, coaching / guiding will be for 5 days with Wednesdays free. You will then be free to do your own thing, whether that's just chilling for the day or another day shredding on your own or together. It's your holiday so your call.
HOW EXPERIENCED DO I NEED TO BE?
This is not a Camp for beginners. It is aimed at intermediate snowboarders who have stagnated in their progression and looking to improve their technical skills. As a rough guide, you should be able to handle red runs, ride switch (although not effortlessly) and be reasonably fit. If you're unsure about your level, just get in touch to discuss.
WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF THE WEEK?
Hopefully as much as you can handle. We aim to cover a mix of piste, free ride off-piste and park & anything in between. As long as you have a 'Can Do' attitude, you will leave the week as a better boarder.CAN SKIERS ATTEND THE CAMP?
Unfortunately not. The Snowcamps are specifically aimed at small groups of snowboarders. It is an improvers camp focusing on snowboard skills and techniques which don't translate to skiers.
WHY DON'T YOU OFFER AN ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE?
The camp is simply to share my love and passion for snowboarding. The aim is to help frustrated boarders improve so they can continue to shred well into their later years. This is not my full-time job so simply don't have the time and resources to organise travel arrangements for everyone.
CAR HIRE?
Although the accommodation is situated near one of the main slopes, we will visit several resorts in the area so hiring a car is essential. It is your responsibility to coordinate with others on the trip to ensure you will have transportation for the week. Obviously, it makes sense to use this for the airport transfer as well. Once the camps as full, we will set-up WhatsApp groups so everyone can liaise with flight time arrivals, car hire etc.
Our recommendation is https://www.doyouitaly.com
Make sure you filter cheapest car if want but only choose with free cancellation. Then a month or so before the camp, you can recheck prices and if cheaper, rebook as I've had as low as €4 a day.
AVALANCHE GEAR REQUIREMENTS?
So long as conditions allow, we will be venturing off-piste so you will need to have the appropriate avalanche equipment. If you don't own equipment, you can hire locally in Aosta - often including ABS bags for around €15 per day. We can share details for you to prebook.
